COMMENTS There is no better feeling than to call
a client and tell them their IRS problems are over. No more worrying
or looking over their shoulder. Clients tell me it's like getting a new lease on life, a fresh start. They finally have a reason to get up in the morning! Listen to how some of them have experienced the end of their IRS problems as a result of working with our firm- CHILD FINALLY GETS DECEASED MOTHER'S TAX REFUND AFTER FOUR YEAR FIGHT Our firm recently represented a grandmother who is now the custodian of her grandson following his mother's death. She had been trying for over three years to get the refund due her deceased daughter for the year in which she died. Most of her letters and calls to the IRS were ignored. When she did get a reply it was to request documents she had already sent on several occasions. After she came to our firm we were able to cut through the red tape and contact the right person. We received the deceased daughter's refund within four months of her retaining us and this money was immediately put into the child's trust fund. Betty Duncan, Taylors, SC SUCCESSFUL OFFER IN COMPROMISE The client originally began an Offer in Compromise settlement with the Internal Revenue Service on his own. However, the IRS began sending forms and requesting information which confused him; he retained our firm to help him. We were able to successfully negotiate an Offer in Compromise for five percent, or five cents on the dollar, of the total amount owed to the Internal Revenue Service. R.L., Greer, SC CLIENT SURVIVES AUDIT A long time client received notice of audit in 1998. Our firm handled the complete audit for him. The audit process was completed in much less time than average because all records were available and all questions were answered in the manner in which the IRS likes to receive information. Thus, the client's time and energy were held to a minimum and available for the more important work of his business. As a result of the audit he was not assessed any additional tax and only one correction found. The agent stated that since the rest of the audit had gone so well the minor infraction would be overlooked as long as it was corrected for the next year. G.L., Greeneville, SC |
